I Want DB Money!

Infamously shouted in the locker room in 06' by Darrel Jackson, now is being borrowed by another receiver, Bernard Berrian. To update the answer to a question, this article from the Chicago Sun times says that Bernard Berrian is using Deion Branch's contract as a starting off point. Oooooooh Baby, free agency is gonna be crazy!

  1. He's a great deep threat, but he's only a 2

  2. That's pretty awesome. With all of the current FA wideouts, I bet Hackett doesn't get as much as he thinks/hopes he will get; this makes me think there is a somewhat larger chance that the Hawks might retain him.

  3. From the Chicago Sun Post: "Their most recent offer -- $8 million in bonus money in a five-year, $25 million package -- wasn't enough to get a deal done."

I just don't know how B.Berrian would be able to feed his family on that offer...

  4. Unfortunately, even fullbacks will be screaming that they want DB money once the CBA collapses. I wonder if the front office is making any plans for that...

  6. Berrian cant run decent routes, and he drops passes. He is all potential. NO WAY should anyone give him Branch money--especially since Branch didnt deserve Branch money.

He isnt even worth what the Bears offered him.

Since Hackett burned the Bears last year, I cant believe they arent going to go after him hard once FA starts...but they are the Bears--the team that let Engram go and hasnt had a legitimate number 1WR in the last 25 years...

  7. last time I checked Berrian hasn't won a super bowl - or been the super bowl MVP - or been clutch during the regular season - or proven himself as a legit #1...

Hmmm shouldn't you at least be a little bit like Deon if you want his money?

  8. Speaking of DB money, remember when Ty Law was available and everyone and their mother in the Seahawks Insider comments said the Hawks blew it by not getting him? Looks like he'll be released by the Chiefs and I haven't heard so much of anything from Hawks fans. What a few years (and a great developing DB named Trufant) will do to perspective. You gotta credit the FO on this one.
