Here is a pretty good break down of the top running backs available in Aprils NFL Draft. The article, written by former scout Bucky Brooks, has Mendenhall listed above Stewart. This seems to be a growing trend among 'draftnicks'. Kiper has him 2, Mayock has him 1.
It is fine with me, did anybody see the all access about Jonathan Stewart on ESPN Sportscenter yesterday. Dude wasn't lying about 5.9% body fat. He is like a tree stump, a very, very, very fast tree stump. The ESPN piece had him described as a "HeMan" figure!. Here is the piece!
No way he falls to our pick...but we better take him if he does =P
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready to jump on his bandwagon; he has in the past been a real injury risk, he got a lot of carries in college, and he has no burst.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, I would take him if he fell to #25, but only if Mendenhall were off the boards. However, the chance of them both falling to 25 is nonexistent.
One more thing, his muscle definition is hugely impressive, and he does look like HEman.
ReplyDeleteI saw him on the ESPN program yesterday. This guy is a stud. If he's there at 25 somehow, grab him. I just don't think he lasts that long.
ReplyDeleteNo burst? He was the Class 3A State Champion in the 100 meters as a senior at Timberline. The guy HAS speed.
