Note To Readers

I want to start out by saying that I have the best readers in the world. All of you are passionate, opinionated, and very willing to support the site, which you have been doing a great job at. Because of you, it energizes me to continually make this blog better. Please continue reading for an important note.....

My goal is to make this the absolute best Seahawk blog out there. Despite that, I clearly understand that there will always be people who don't like it. Some people like Coke, and some like Pepsi. So while I deeply appreciate your passion and enthusiasm, going over to Frank Hughes blog and stirring up the TNT readership isn't really fair. They read that blog for a reason, and have clearly heard about this one, and chosen Franks. THIS IS FINE. I read Franks blog too.

I suggest that we do our thing here and let them do theirs. One of the reasons I started this blog to create a place that had a different atmosphere and tone anyway. If you want to read them both, I say great, but please respect the choice of those who don't. What I am saying, is let them make the decision on their own. Thank for your the valuable publicity, but it has been asked over there that you stop. So please, bring anyone you want on board with SA, but there is no need to force it down anyones throat.

Thank you listening. And remember at Seahawk Addicts we attempt to unite Seahawk fans, not divide them further.

  1. Can we still make fun of them on this site???

  2. Doesn't that makes us "slaves to the businessmen"? Hah!

  3. Do what ever you want to over here. But they seem to get upset when people grace their site and tell them about this one. No need to sell them, the blog does that/ and will do that on its own.

And never! I mean never! allow yourself to be a slave to the businessman. But mainly because this is a business so take what you can get. Or is it about winning? Oh F it, I am a greedy kicker!

  4. I don't understand, why would anyone go over there and stir trouble or bash them? It's not like we won't all be rooting for the same team come Sundays. There isn’t a need to divide Seahawks fans, there’s not enough of us as it is.

Being cordial, respectful doesn’t mean you are giving into the man. It does indicate you have a little class. There is nothing wrong w/ exhibiting this class, even on an internet blog. It will also help Michael keep his more mature readers.

    Preacher GnarlyHawk out. :)

  5. I've got to say, I was a devoted fan of the TNT blog, but since Sando walked, it's left a lot to be desired. Michael, I don't know how you find the time to do what you do, but keep it up. This is the best Seahawks blog on the web. Have you heard of the Bloggies? I'll be nominating SA for one next year.

  6. I should have said, discerning reader, mature sounds pompous. I haven't seen immaturity here, just a little football passion and humor.

  7. I'll tell you that comment on TNT is what got me to check out this site. And I am glad that I did. Great blog man keep it up.

  8. Since Sando left, that blog has totally gone downhill. However, I read it and still like it (just not as much as I used to).

This blog clearly has a passionate leader. He loves Seahawks football and always has something of value to offer (like the Hartwig piece today). It never goes a few days without updates.

The TNT blog has the inside access that SA can't get. He gets to talk to Timmy, Holmgren, the players, etc. and feed us that info.

If you took Mike's SA passion and put it into Frank's Insider blog with team access, I think you would have... Mike Sando!

  9. I wouldn't necessarily say people are over there bashing them, but I have noticed that every time someone says they don't like that blog people should check out this one, it causes quite a reaction. No reason to upset anyone, we all add something different to the mix.

  10. You da man...

My only complaint of my favorite usenet group is that occasionally folks resort to bashing people instead of ideas. I happen to consider that in poor taste and very bad manners, and I have a rather Heinleinesque view of how people with bad manners should be dealt with. (if that makes no sense, read a few of his earlier books :) )

Even Stealer's fans have a right to be treated as intellectially capable human beings.. (ok maybe not Stealer's fans, but you get the idea)

  11. The problem with Seahawks Insider, IMO, isn't necessarily Frank. It's that every thead turns into a vitriolic spitting match. They argue incessantly over there, and get very immature very quickly. It's constant shouting and name-calling and verbal abuse. I get enough of that with my kids.

The vibe over here is much more positive. But I still read both blogs. I just ignore the comments on SI.

  12. TNT has gone down the drain since Sando left, everyone knows it and sooner or later they will all move over here..the existing readers that get pissy over at TNT are just sheep....Fuckem'

  13. I know this is blasphemy, but I gotta put it out there. I like this blog better than Sando. I like that Mr. Addict is a fan (albeit a very obsessed one) makes the tone of the whole blog way more entertaining. And he updates it like a mother f'er.

Also Sando didn't have assclowns. And who doesn't like a good assclown?
