Shocking Story

In all of this talk about the draft, some of you may have read up on offensive line prospect Heath Benedict, from the small college of Newberry.

Unfortunately, Heath Benedict passed away today. The reasons behind it are not clear. This is an utter tragedy. He was ranked in the top 10 at his position, and was likely to go early on the second day.

Seahawk Addicts expresses their deepest condolences to the Benedict family. Let this serve as a reminder how important every day is. Even when the future looks so bright, it is important to treasure the present. END

  2. Wow, I am shocked, I heard this guy last week on Sirius, he sounded like a good guy. This is really too bad. I know he had a little brother, this is awful news. Since he hasn't been drafted I don't think his family will get the union benefits either. What a terrible thing to happen.

  3. oh man.. thats rough. I followed this guy a lot through div ii football(since thats where my school happens to fall into). He was awesome. I'd love that guy to be on the hawks line--- 6'6 320 lbs... HUGE.
    Terrible loss.

  4. That is sad. Wise words, to live in the present. Its the only time that truly matters.
