Looks like nothing much is gonna happen tonight Seahawk addicts. I am sure DJ is tired from his east coast tour. They may go to work on that tomorrow. However, as you know, I am always working.
As evidence, here is my latest article for The Power of 12 site. It is entitled, Vindication for Ruskell. I would like to thank an anonymous readers comment for the inspiration.
Also, due to the slow night, I am happy to give my perspective and opinion, and share the little knowledge that I have in the next installment of Answers to Your Questions, later on. Feel free to use this thread to bring up anything you want to include. Until then, I am taking Ms.Addict out for a well deserved meal at our favorite restaurant, Bora Bora. I bet the resident Redondo Beach SA, Daniel may know about it. Until later....
UPDATE(10:30Pm)-- I AM ACTUALLY CALLING IT A NIGHT EARLY, KEEP FILLING UP THE THREAD WITH Q'S IF YOU WANT, I WILL GET TO THEM TOMORROW

John Murphy, of Yahoo Sports, reports free-agent OL Justin Hartwig (Panthers) has received interest from the Seattle Seahawks.
ReplyDeleteThat's the one I meant to paste
Dekoi
You know what, I saw that, but I can't find the corresponding article anywhere. It isn't on Yahoo, and I can't find any kind of news what so ever that links him to anyone but the Steelers. That is why I didn't post it yet.
ReplyDeleteGood find though! You're on the ball
ReplyDeletekffl.com
ReplyDeleteYeah, Thats were I saw it too. Can you find the article, or info they are using as the source??
ReplyDeleteMichael, Hartwig is also being linked to KC.
ReplyDeleteBy the way Michael, Sandowife works, Mrs. Addict does not.

Its Ms. Addict, and it isn't up to you what I call her. She makes those decisions :-)
ReplyDeleteMichael, I've been gone for the last few days...just wondering what your take is on the Hawks and J. Stew concerning the TOE injury. I heard Todd McShay say today that there is no way he is now a first round pick - but would be a steal in the mid-second round. What's your take on this whole situation? Could the Hawks really pass on him in the first, and then trade down in the second to grab him? Hmmm....
ReplyDeleteI liked your new article it was pretty well written and I agree, as much as i would like to be mad at Rus for the Hutch situation.. what you need to realize is that it was one mistake that will never happen again. Also I must say that Anna Park lady is bomb.
ReplyDeletewhat do you think happens firts?
ReplyDelete1) DJ signs somewhere (I hope for cheap in Seattle)
2) We cut/trade what ever we can SA
or 3)We sign some sort of LB/ST player
Oh and one other question do you know if DJack is still counting against our cap?

Hey Mike,
ReplyDeleteI've got a few questions I would like your thoughts on:
-What do you think is holding the Hawks upin regards to signing Trufant?
-Do you think the Hawks pick up a veteran ILB or draft one?
-Have you heard anything about the progress of Mansfield Wrotto?
-Do you think Josh Wilson will become any more than a nickel DB?
-One more thing, do you think the Hawks are planning on Stewart, a back in later rounds to groom (such as Kevin Smith, Ray Rice, Tashard Choice), or not planning on taking any back?
Thanks man, that's all I got.

noticed that you left out ken hamlin's pro bowl season and the branch trade for a 1st rounder in your article.
ReplyDeletewhat do you think about those?
Your right I did, but it was more of a focus on what has happened recently that make him look vindicated.
ReplyDeleteAs for Branch, clearly it doesn't look great, he has had a hard time staying on the field, even though he has been fairly productive when playing. My guess is that if you compared him to all the Wr's taken in the first round over the last 3 to 5 years, he is probably one of the more productive.
As for Hamlin, I don't think it was a mistake at all. Getting voted into the pro bowl when your a cowboy is like being an all star if your a Yankee. You get a lot of votes that are strictly based on being a fan of the team. I personally saw Hamlin get burned a ton. The Hammer is a good player, but our defense sure seemed to get a lot better with out him back there.
I guess I would say superficially it looks like a mistake, but if the goal is to make the team better, I have no problems letting Hamlin go.
you're*
ReplyDeleteI think the scheme was bad and not the players during the Hamlin era. He also provided an intimidation factor that no one on our team currently posesses. I know tons of people will call bs on that - but you go across the middle knowing that guy is back there and tell me its not front of mind when a pass is headed your way. Professionals or not, nobody wants to get layed out.

ReplyDeleteI agree ham bone would have it least one hit a game that would require a 15 yard penaltyty for unnessisary roughness for his hits/late hits. I wish we still had him as a backup...
ReplyDeletemaybe any down time on here could be used to install "spell check". geeez!
