According to Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe,
Samuel and the Eagles are close on deal that would pay 60 million over 6 years, if Samuel reaches his incentives. Honestly, I think he and Trufant are on the same level. One big difference, Samuel used his leverage last year and is hitting the market during the perfect storm. I really think that neither Samuel or Trufant is capable of winning a game for you by himself, and anybody who is getting 8 figures per year, should fit into that category.
What's your take on this Mike?
ReplyDeleteI am not sure...At least its not more? i guess. He is going to be overpaid, but we knew that. Marcus is gonna want 10 per now. Personally, I hope he comes down a bit because it would be nice to have Tru, Lofa, Leroy, Mebane, Tapp, and others keep this D at the top of the league for years to come. If he insists on 10 per, this will probably be his last year as a Hawk.
ReplyDeleteIf trufant really wants that much, trade him to the highest bidder. We will be better off with a 1st round DT.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this puts some legs into the Tru trade rumors.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one steaming at a possible Ram signing of Josh Brown?

"The Chiefs are hopeful that they'll also get the first opportunity to sign Brown, but he was scheduled to visit with the St. Louis Rams before coming to Kansas City"
