It's Not Shaun, and It's Not Trufant

According to Danny O'Neil at the Seattle Times. Here is the link to his blog which has clarified this for us.

Someone of the Seattle Times Seahawks Message Board was touting an 8 year deal for Lofa. It appears that this was posted before all this press conference stuff was announced.

The person who goes by YakimaCoug is announcing that Todd Lieweke announced this morning at a breakfast meeting in Yakima. I was just guessing Lofa of the top of my head. He certainly deserves more money than he is getting, and I see no reason that the Hawks would try to stiff him.

If it isn't Lofa, I am biting my tongue. Could the Mora era start a year early?

    I was having this same thought. I really hope not. Maybe Holmgren had a change of heart?? Maybe he doesn't like the direction of the team? Ughhh...I want one more year of the Walrus.

    Had a snappy Yakima related comment but better not offend anyone... Also, no one has any new illnesses, god forbid? Hopefully it is something positive for the team like lofa deal. That would be fantastic. Lofa is the heart of the defense.

    No no! Reason for press conference...This just in: It seems J.P. Darche is quite unhappy with his current contract situation and is demanding a trade. The Hawks are obliging with second round pick in 09.
