According to this blog post from John Mclain of the the Houston Chronicle,
the Hawks are one of the suitors for versatile offensive lineman Rex Hadnot. Hadnot was a productive member of the Dolphins last year, and many were surprised that he was not offered a contract. He is similar to Gray. He can play guard or center. He defintely would push Sims and Spencer. Might be a good move at the right price. It looks like his choice would be Houston, so I wouldn't expect much. END OF POST
he would be nice to have but rotoworld is saying he wants 5 million a year, how can that happen?

I have been a Shaun hater, but I don't care who our RB would have been last season... they would have had bad stats... The line was just that terrible.
ReplyDeleteI like Mo but part of the reason his YPC was better is b/c he was in there more when the team went pass first and was able to do some damage when teams were expecting pass.
I agree with need a RB with one of our first 3 picks, but the o-line needs to be solidified before the running game can flourish.
We have great tackles. Spencer will naturally be better with better players alongside him (like Wahle). I know Sims can't be any worse at RG with another year of NFL experience but I would love an already legit RG for next season. That will help the RBs so much.
I know Shaun isn't a Timmy guy (as in drafted by him), but Timmy is the guy who gave Shaun the big payday. He's not going to want to release him after two years.
I predict we get one more good offensive lineman and we draft a RB in the first 3 rounds and Shaun has a good '08 (thanks to a much improved line).
I like him a lot but not at $5m.

$haun may not be a top 20 RB in '08 but at least he'll look that way with Wahle in the upcoming year (and an improving spencer)...
