Important Off-Season Dates

Because I know we all have the itch, and because it'll help everyone get a clearer view on things until kickoff 2009, here's a list of important NFL off-season dates, as posted on Next Season Sports:


Feb. 18-24 -- Scouting Combine

Feb 19 -- Deadline for teams to designate franchise and transition tags

Feb. 27 -- Free Agency period begins

March 1 -- Teams must be under salary cap

March 3 -- Trading and veteran free agent signing periods begins

April 15 -- Restricted free agent signing period ends

April 25-26 -- 2009 NFL Draft

May TBD -- Mini-camp begins

July TBD -- Training camp

Aug. TBD -- Preseason kickoff

Sept. TBD -- Regular season kickoff
