Rocky Bernard In Jail

According to the Stranger, and Mike Florio at Profootball talk, Rocky Bernard has allegedly been arrested on Domestic Assult Charges. He is currently in King County jail, with his bail being denied.

If this turns out to be correct, Rocky was arrested after spending the night celebrating his birthday at the Ibiza night club. No one from the Seahawks is commenting yet. For commentary...

Well, this certainly isn't pleasant. There is no nice way to spin it. However, I suspect the team will take a wait and see approach and at least hear Rocky's side. However, as someone in the comments pointed out, they do risk looking a bit hypocritical if they don't cut him. However, if they believe him, they may be willing to let Rocky play out the final year of his contract, probably while the case is in court. Either way, it would appear that the Hawks will plan as if Rocky won't be back either this year or 09' and probably look for a top notch 3 technique DT. Trevor Laws is the closest thing to Rocky in the draft. It will be interesting to see if the team finagles to get him.
