Seahawks Looking Locally

A couple of days ago, mentioned that the Seahawks were looking at a WWU defensive line man. While, now comes this report, that they also had a visit with Shane Simmons, a WWU linebacker.

At 6'1", 235 lbs, Simmons is probably undersized for most teams. However, that has never stopped the Seahawks before. He had 125 tackles in 10 games at WWU last year. Also, he was originally recruited to Idaho, a D1 school, but returned home after a friend was murdered.

He is know to play smart and fast with decent coverage abilities, however he will need to work on his strength and tackling to be anything more than a special teamer. The visit list will be updated accordingly. END
