More WR Injuries

by: Michael Steffes

According to Jose Romero's practice report, it appears as if Seneca Wallace will be getting the start this week. That is the good news. The bad news is that he likely will be missing more receivers, as both Michael Bumpus--who admittedly wouldn't be playing on Sunday anyway--and Billy McMullen left practice with injuries. What else is new?

So, we are moving on to the Seneca Wallace chapter of 2008. The last time Seneca received significant playing time was 2006. He went 2-2, with two wins at home versus the Rams and Raiders, and two road losses at KC and San Francisco. Seneca had 8 TDs to 7 ints, despite a poor 3 int performance in San Francisco. He also had some trouble holding on to the ball, losing 3 fumbles. The only hope I can give you is that not only do the Seahawks have a better running game now than at that point in 06', Mike Holmgren is also more likely to take the training wheels off the passing game this week. Still, it appears to be a long shot that Seneca will lead the Hawks to victory on Sunday.

Also, according to Frank Hughes, Ray Willis will be starting at right tackle this Sunday. Let's see if that helps recapture some of the line's dominance from weeks 2 and 3. ~END~
