The Washington Redskins are expected to sign none other than our former MVP Shaun Alexander to a 1-year deal today. He'll serve as a fill-in for injured RB Ladell Betts and will back up Clinton Portis.
Nothing's been made official yet, but this is what's going down in DC. We'll keep you posted. -END-
[UPDATE: As pointed out by several readers in the comments, Adam Schefter is reporting that the Redskins have signed Shaun Alexander and Ryan Plackemeier. Alexander signed a one-year deal, but no info yet on the length of Plackemeier's deal. -Ed.]
