Or so a Seahawks official--it's not clear who--is telling the NFL Network's Adam Schefter. Hasselbeck couldn't practice today, and it's becoming increasingly unlikely that he'll play in San Francisco. The same goes for Deion Branch, who did not participate in team drills today.
There remains a possibility that Hasselbeck will return to the field in Week 9 against the Eagles, but Seneca Wallace will be getting the start this Sunday in San Francisco, where history doesn't favor him. The last time Seneca led the team into Candlestick Park, he completed 19 of 31 passes for 252 yards and 2 touchdowns, but was picked off 3 times. The Seahawks lost that game 20-14, and that was with a healthy group of receivers and a coach who seemed much more determined to win at the time. -END-
