Five Years

Profootballtalk.com is reporting the deal is five years in length. Thanks for the reader who pointed this out. 5 yrs is good. It means the signing bonus can be prorated over a 5 year period (the max).This will make the first year cap hit extremely manageable. More to follow when we have the figures.

I will say this, when an agent declines to provide the value of the deal, as Wahle's agent does here, it is usually because the player signed below market for secondary reasons, such as home town proximity etc. The agents always want to brag about huge money deals. I take this as a good sign.

This is probably all I have for tonight. Mrs. Seahawk Addict keeps giving me the stink eye everytime i grab the laptop. Supposedly it is Valentines Day... who knew?
