According to this report by scout.com's Adam Kaplan, Jeb Putzier will be released by Houston. While this news won't send shockwaves through Seahawk Nation like Crumpler's release, it does mention that Seattle tried to sign him two years ago. Clearly, he has not lived up to expections in Houston, as he only has caught 19 passes in two seasons. This is probably why he lost his job to 4th round pick Owed Daniels. The only good thing about this, is that Putzier probably can't command much more than the veteran minimum. He may be a good fit for depth if the team feels that Joe Newton isn't ready, or if they can't land a TE they like in the draft. END OF POST.
