Walter Jones was held out of two consecutive days of practice this week, which is the first time that's happened all year. Holmgren said it's because of a leg problem the Pro Bowl tackle has been fighting lately, but one has to be a little worried about the fact that Walt's not getting any younger.
If he misses this game on Sunday - which doesn't appear likely, by the way - my concern wouldn't be Walt's knee so much as it would be Hasselbeck's entire body. Remember how often Matt was devoured by Dallas a week ago? If Big Walt's out of the picture, the Patriots will have a late Thanksgiving Day feast on our quarterback.
Danny O'Neil posted a bit about this on his blog this morning, saying Walt shrugged off any question of injury by telling reporters, "I'm fine." Reassuring at best, but like so many other Seahawk injuries suffered this year, we'll have to wait and see. -END-
