Thanks to Surf Hawk for catching this post by Frank Hughes.
Hughes notes rumors and a "flurry" of emails and correspondences saying that Jim Mora Jr. will be named coach of the University of Washington "in the next 24 hours" or on December 3. He cites a Bob Condotta blog about a Wikipedia article that was changed, then quickly changed back . . .
I don't know what there is to this, but I've found there is often a reason rumors re-surface. We'll all just have to wait and see, and heh, sorry because I know these rumors and speculations piss a lot of people off. But hey, what else have we got going on to talk about?
What will happen if Mora does leave? Whom do you guys view as the heirs to the throne (or errors to the throne, if Marshall were to be appointed, hah!)? What would you put the odds at for Mora taking the UW job?
Update: The thing that seems to take away the bulk of the credibility here is that it seems like odd timing... why would UW announce a new coach three days before the last game of the season? Let Willingham have what little dignity he has left. I'm verrrry "skeptimistic." ~END~
