Cowboys Targeted Max Unger

by: Matthew Heuett

Just as an interesting aside, I thought I'd bring this report from NFL.com's news blog to your attention. Apparently the Seahawks weren't the only team that had an eye to draft our team's newly acquired lineman Max Unger:

With those guys [DBs Patrick Chung and Louis Delmar] off the board, [Cowboys owner Jerry] Jones set his sights on offensive lineman Max Unger. But when the Seahawks took Unger just two picks before their own, Jones decided the Cowboys would be able to get a bigger bang for their buck with tomorrow’s price tag and moved back into the third and fourth round.
You know what's sweeter than landing a promising young offensive lineman in the draft? Landing him at the expense of the Cowboys.
