Tim Ruskell spoke to reporters for a moment and talked about the team's decision to pick Aaron Curry.
Curry was their top guy, with Sanchez next on the list. Ruskell said with his ability, character, and the fact that he can start right away, Curry was a "no brainer."
He's a physical presence on the field," Ruskell said. "This is a guy who is 250 pounds and running a 4.5 (40-yard dash). Versatility in terms of his coverage-ability. He's a good tackler and good blitzer. He's the whole package for the linebacker position."Had the Chiefs taken Curry, Ruskell says he would have been inclined to trade the pick.
It doesn't appear Crabtree was really an option for the team. It would be interesting to find out if he was removed from their board.
