Schedule Release Pending

by: Chris Sullivan

Here's what I'm looking for:

  • When will the Seahawks' Bye week land? Last week it appeared to be a blessing at Week 4 in that it let some of our injured players bide some time, but in retrospect it did very little for us. Of course, very little did much more than very little for us, but you get the idea.
  • What time will the Seahawks play the Colts? The Hawks had a nice schedule fall into their laps this year in that we face only one game in the Eastern Time zone, this one falling against the Colts. Despite coming off an awful season, we might see the Seahawks slated for a Sunday or Monday night game, which should help us dodge the 10am curse. It will also go a long way in showing how the NFL views the Seahawks coming off that terrible season.
  • When will the conference games be? Specifically, when will the away games fall? I would love to see the Seahawks open up a can of whoop-booty in Arizona in the first few weeks of the year as it could go a long way to reasserting our dominion over the NFC West. The 49ers, I think, stand a better chance than the Cards at stealing the division this year, so it will be worth watching when that game is too.
  • What will be the balance of Home-Away games, quarter by quarter? Ideally, of every four game period, we'd have two at home, two away, though starting with a slew of away games (say 5 of 8 or 7-8 of 12) would lead to a home-heavy backend that could help us go on a run if needed towards the middle-to-end of the year.

What about you guys?
