Links around the world...

by: Chris Sullivan

Hey all, pardon the infrequent updates today, I played football with my bros this morning, hung with the gal for a bit, then took a monster nap -- it was a long week! There isn't a whole lot of news today -- which is a good thing following a game -- but everyone has covered the Hawks game in one way or another, so I'll hook that up here.

One quick note though: no big injuries last night, but here's wishing a speedy recovery to Will Robinson.

  • Frank Hughes' postgame wrap-up, players who helped themselves, players who hurt themselves, and his game story. All pretty worthwhile reads. Hughes has really stepped up his game on the Insider lately; maybe he felt the always excellent Eric Williams breathing down his neck for the job.
  • Danny O'Neil blogs his game notes -- the good, bad and ugly -- for the exhibition. Today he posted a pretty amusing "reading between the lines" feature on the blog, inaugural edition. Pretty good stuff. O'Neil's Seahawks Notebook features on a few small items including the excellent play of Michael Bumpus and Howard Green. Here is his official game story.
  • Clare Farnsworth fell asleep at the blog with no posts to put up there, and it appears he had an ESPN intern write his game story -- apparently LeRoy Hill forced a fumble that was recovered by newly acquired safety Deon Branch, Longwell was back kicking for the Vikes, not their actual kicker Hauschak, and he throws in a couple other errors there too. Thanks to Andrew for the error filled link.
  • Here is the link from the Olympian's game story, though it is just an AP story. C'mon Olympian, don't make the Addicts out there apply for jobs with your paper! They'll do it, damnit, they'll do it!!
