There is no doubt that there is a perception that the Seahawks win their division every year simply by attrition. The NFC West is often thought of as the worst division in football. As for now, this season doesn't appear poised to change peoples minds.
Dan Arkush of PFW has written a little commentary on the opening preseason games of the Niners and Rams. If you didn't see/read about them, the Niners lost 18-6 to the Raiders. They displayed little offensive ability. In fact JT O'Sullivan seems to be inline to start as of now. The Rams gave up an obscene amount of rushing yards to the Titans, and their first string offense continued a streak of not scoring a preseason TD in the Linehan era.
Both of these coaches jobs are on the line this season, and this seems to be an auspicious start. These two teams also make up the first two visitors to Qwest this year, so I have a feeling not too many of you are feeling sorry for them. ~END~
