For the services of one DJ Hackett. This according to Kevin Robinson, DJ's agent. Albert Breer is reporting this on the Dallas Morning News Cowboy's Blog. Here is what he says....
My question -- Why hasn't Dallas sniffed around him? Agent Kevin Robinson said last night that the Titans are the leaders for Hackett. That's if he doesn't re-sign in Seattle, and Robinson added that the Seahawks are neck-and-neck with Tennessee. He still hasn't heard from the Cowboys.I would ask further, why hasn't Tennessee sniffed around? They haven't even had him in for a visit. They hosted Javon Kearse, Ellis Wyms, and even Justin McCariens, but no DJ hackett.
Also what else does that say about the fact that no visit puts them neck and neck with the Hawks. I interpret this as the Hawks have a standing offer that they don't like so much, but since the most interest they have gotten is a "don't call us, we'll call you" from the Titans, they will wait it out a little longer.
I think the Hawks would consider upping their offer, but that is probably contengient of Marcus's long term deal. Is it coming? Darby didn't sign in Detroit as expected yet, so maybe he was told money will be freed up soon. Wyms is probably waiting too. It will be an interesting rest of the week for sure.
