According to Danny O'Neill, Julius Jones is listed as being the starting halfback when the Chicago Bears come to town Saturday. Since MoMo had such an impressive showing this weekend and Jones saw limited action, it'll be good to see what Marion Barber's former understudy will be dishing out. I hope that chip on his shoulder drives him straight through Urlacher's face, personally.
Also, special teams coach Bruce DeHaven says punter Ryan Plackemeier is nearing a full recovery from a torn pectoral muscle and may be ready to play Saturday. We'll see how that pans out, but the punter battle on this team is the least of my worries. (Honestly, I'd say it matters about as much to me as who'd win in a pie-eating contest - Brandon Mebane or Howard Green. For the record, my money's on Mebane.)
There's also some interesting - if not downright comforting - words spoken by DeHaven on the special teams choices he's making for now, and why that unit looked less than spectacular on Friday night. -END-
