Bryant will have surgery on his knee. He has cartilage damage. It is an arthroscopic procedure. It will leave him with 4-5 weeks recovery. Technically he could be ready for the opener, but chances are he will find himself buried in the rotation (maybe the inactive list), until he gets up to speed. It is hard for a rookie to miss most of camp. The good news for the Hawks is that they have a ton of defensive line depth, and they all seem to be fighting for their spots. With Tubbs down as well, the rest ought to get lots of reps in practice. ~END
