According to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network. No word on terms yet, or what may have changed. This severely limits the tight end options on the market. Not sure where the Seahawks will go, other than the draft.
I was flat out wrong about this. I posted last night that all signs were that he was headed to Seattle. Clare Farnsworth stated earlier that insiders thought Tennessee would up their offer. That may be what happened. I will be interested in seeing what the numbers are. Maybe after Ben Hartsock went to Atlanta, Tennessee had to make a move at that position.
Something obviously happened during Alge's visit here. He was in negotiations and then he was flying home. It could have been money, it could have been test results. We may never know. What we do know is that it is time to start discussing the draft class again, as TE will be a high priority.
UPDATE-- Get this, according to Titansradio.com, Crumpler's agent, Butch Williams is denying the report. He says no deal is signed yet and that the two teams only talked. Apparently he is denying the report about Buffalo being involved as well. This guy is great. He was the one quoted as saying the deal with Sea was close, then denied it. Schefter usually gets his info from agents so my guess is that is where he got his info, but Williams is now denying it. This guy is just pushing the envelope waiting for a big money offer that isn't coming. Here is the Link
