Buffalo sports radio station WGR is reporting that the Bills have contacted Alge Crumpler and agent "Butch" Williams. Supposedly the two parties will talk more on Monday.
This may have been the final team that Williams was referring to when they left Seattle. However, being that they were told that they would connect on Monday, it could be that Crumpler is working on something else.
This does worry me a bit though, as a Crump signing supporter. Buffalo has, in my opinion, made some interesting moves so far. The traded for Marcus Stroud, who the Jags thought was hurt, out of shape, and is for sure one drug test from a years suspension. Also, the Bills essentially bid against themselves in signing Spencer Johnson who got an absurd contract, 17.5/6 guaranteed, for having accumulated 4 sacks in 4 years. They might give Alge a big offer.
FYI, Tim Hasslebeck said on Sirius NFL radio this morning that he had been texting Matt about Alge Crumpler and Matt was very excited about the possibility of having a good tight end again. He said, Matt was going to let him know that he was a Qb who really liked to get the ball to the TE.
