PFT Report on Shaun

Well Mike Florio weighs in with his ever credible "source with knowledge" of the situation in Seattle who says that it is a poorly kept secret that Shaun will be released.

I think that is fair to say. Currently, judging by the SeahawkAddicts polls, about 85% of fans, who have knowledge of the situation realize he is gone. It is simply a matter of working out an injury settlement.

The team wants to release Shaun. It benefits Shaun to be released as soon as possible so he can shop his services. All signs point to this happening by the end of the week.

Florio also adds that it is nearly impossible to trade him because of his contract, which is consistent with what every other expert has said. Also, it is suspected he will end up in Tennessee with Mike Reinfeldt, which would be interesting to watch. He may actually complement the bruising style of Ledale nicely.

It will be a sad day when Shaun leaves, but at this point I firmly believe it is not only in the best interest of the team, but also the fanbase. This issue has been like a line in the sand. Can you imagine the negative effects of the 37 situation if this was happening during the year AGAIN in 08' It would have gotten ugly!
