A look at the NFC West...

by: Chris Sullivan

...from the perspective of the other bloggers. For the sake of simplicity and my pretty packed day, I'll keep it to the SB Nation blogs (a la Fieldgulls).

St Louis Rams: "Ugliness: The Morning After". The title says it all, pretty much... the Rams did not impress. With Stephen Jackson still holding out, the Rams are in a bit of trouble. Apparently, Jackson is looking for a new agent. I don't think any one is expecting the Rams to go into the season without Jackson. The line looked weak and the defense was mediocre. Nothin' new here, folks, move along...

San Francisco 49ers: "Spotlight on WR Josh Morgan". Not a whole lot about the game, just a lot of praise for one of the young receivers, who has apparently been having the best rookie camp for a WR since Terrell Owens in 1996. Not much else to the story, which probably doesn't bode well for the other 79 roster spots...

Arizona Cardinals: "Wrap Up: Who Stood Up, Who Stood Out?" Probably the most comprehensive of the blogs and of the posts. Some good information in here, including a strong performance by Matt Leinart and by rookie RB Hightower. If you're really interested in the game details, here is the first and second half analyses.
