Jones Not The Answer

Here is an interesting look at why Julius Jones might still be available from Seahawks.net. Doug Farrar, whose primary writing is for Football Outsiders has a great piece about how Jones has performed compared to Marion Barber III, in the exact same offense. It isn't pretty.

Doug makes some conclusions I tend to agree with.....

Where does a player like that fit? Not in Seattle, with the Seahawks' two-year string of epic running game issues...Take him to the Metro Grill, show him a good time, shake his hand as he gets in the cab tomorrow, and let him sign with the Panthers or something. The Seahawks have bigger fish to fry, and this move solves no problems. Pass!
