Danny O'Neil has just reported that the Seahawks have moved WR Michael Bumpus to the 53-man roster in time for tomorrow's game against San Francisco. To make room for Bumpus, they released WR Samie Parker, who was just signed last week.
Danny already gave some commentary on this, but he brought up an especially good point:
The Seahawks probably aren't as desperate for bodies at receiver as we thought. Additionally, this could simply mean the coaching staff is confident with Bumpus's ability to perform with this system, which was probably too technical for Parker to pick up in a matter of days. (And by all accounts, I can't blame the guy.)
Now here's where things get interesting - could it be that the Seahawks have found an answer to the gaping hole they have at punt returner? DISCUSS! Just over 24 hours until kickoff! -END-
