Oh wait....yes they are. Here is a nice uplifting piece for this weekend where a Pro Bowl WR, and supposed team leader, throws his offensive line under the bus. It is hard to fault Holt too much, because he is right, however, now is not the time to throw the beat reporter this bone. He says...
"Those guys, the offensive line guys, have to continue to take more pride in what they’re doing to keep the quarterback clean," Holt said after practice at Rams Park. "I can stand here and say what needs to be done and who needs to do what, but that’s not going to solve anything. It’s going to come down to the guys up front that’s protecting Marc and giving Steven (Jackson) running lanes and giving us time to get open in the secondary to make things happen. They have to continue to take a stronger initiative, a more sense of urgency to keep No. 10 off his back. If he continues to get smacked around, we won’t be seeing No. 10 for long."Lovely. All this from the same guy who verbally abused his head coach on national TV last year as well. It is easy to understand his frustration, but I challenge Torry, or any of you, to point out a time when handling things in this manner has helped. Football is the ultimate team game. This type of action divides the locker room and can only lead to more dysfunction. Good news for the Seahawks I hope. ~END~
