Just thought I would pass along this brief article from the Canadian Press on the Seahawks' other new WR, Keary Colbert. It essentially documents the team-hopping Colbert has done in recent months. It also talks about the role he may play this week and going forward.
Coming out of USC, Keary Colbert was seen as a promising talent. In fact, he had a pretty good year for the Panthers as a rookie, tallying 47 catches for 754 yards and 5 touchdowns. His production has declined in the last two years, but what goes overlooked is that the Panthers passing game declined over that same period due to injuries to Jake Delhomme. Can Colbert re-capture the magic of his rookie season? Well, he is playing with a better QB in a more passing-oriented system, so it is not out of the realm of possibility. The question is how quickly he can get up to speed with the intricacies of the Seahawks' offense. ~END~
