Some of you guys should be getting goose bumps and an eerie sense of deja vu right about now. In 2005 after a big win against the Panthers in the NFC title game, Seattle made it to their first Super Bowl. Now, after their own win over the Panthers, it looks as if the Cardinals might have a chance to follow in their footsteps.
From the Seattle Times:
In the latest example of the Cardinals' incredible postseason good fortune, Philadelphia beat the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants 23-11 on Sunday. That meant Arizona stays at home to face the Eagles with the winner headed to the Super Bowl.
However you slice it, you've got to be rooting at least a little for the Cardinals since they're our division's representative and all, and also because they haven't ever been to a Super Bowl and we all know what that felt like.
How about this scenario: Pittsburgh could get hot again like they did three years ago and make it in as the AFC representative--in that situation, I know that you guys would have to root for the Cardinals to blast those &*^%$*#$ Stealers into the next universe if that came to pass.
Just sayin'.
Hasta,
Bill T
