The Seahawks NFC West rivals, the Arizona Cardinals, ripped apart the Carolina Panthers tonight to advance to the NFC Championship game.
Congrats to the Cards organization and all their fans.
Whether or not we like the Cards, it is good for the division, and good for football. Anytime a West Coast team goes East and sticks it to their opponent, it makes people take notice. Hawks fans should remember the excitement of an extended playoff run. The Cardinals have waited a long time to enjoy these moments, just as Hawks fans had in 2005.
The Cards have now won two playoff games this season. The last NFC West team to accomplish this was of course, the 2005 Seattle Seahawks, who also whipped the Panthers for win #2. Can the Cards complete the feat and get to the big one? While, their chances significantly increase if the Eagles can be the third road team in as many games to win. Again.... Congratulations Cardinals. END
