Whether or not as a fan you are on board with the Seahawks selecting a receiver with the fourth overall selection, it is good to have choices.
The National Football Post is reporting that both Michael Crabtree and Jeremy Maclin are declaring themselves eligible for the draft. They will be the first two receivers taken off the board in April. This adds heavily to the current class of receivers, which was lacking top end talent. At worst, it likely pushes some of the later options further down the board where the Hawks can maybe find value.
Also of note here is that Chris "Beanie" Wells will also declare. It seems unlikely the injury-prone running back will be an option at pick 4, although he's in the conversation now that he has declared. Wells and underclassmen Knoshon Moreno, who declared yesterday, are the two top running backs available.
Keep up to date with all the info about the Seahawks' draft choices from friend of the blog Rob Station and his '09 Seahawks Draft Blog. ~END~
