Seahawks Add Receiver

by: M. Steffes

Danny O'Neil, crediting Scout.com, is reporting that the Seahawks have inked former Beaver standout Mike Hass to a two year deal. He will be in camp competing for a spot on the roster.

Don't let the two year deal trick you--they re-upped Logan Payne to a similar deal last offseason and it only means they want to have the rights to him if he works out. He will still have to earn a job on the team. Here is a profile on Hass.

This is a good signing. Hass has Northwest ties and NFL experience. It does nothing but bolster the depth at a postion the Hawks had problems with last year and are likely to lose players from this offseason. If nothing else, it should ramp up the competition at the WR spot again this summer. ~END~
