Marinelli Signs On In Chi-Town

by: Michael Steffes

Adam Schefter says it is so.

The Seahawks, who had interviewed Marinelli last week, were reportedly more interested in other candidates anyway. This is not a big loss. In the end, the Hawks appear to be going in a different direction with their coaches. With the exception of Greg Knapp, someone Mora is clearly comfortable with, all of the coaches brought in have been young up and comers. Mel Tucker interviewed yesterday despite rumors a DC was in place. It is possible they sold him on being the DBs coach. He has interviewed other places as well.

Casey Bradley is the expected hire for DC. The team is probably waiting until Monday to announce it to take advantage of the weekly media cycle. They are also looking at new special teams coaches. The team hope's to have all the coaches in place by next weekend when everyone heads to Mobile, AL for the Senior Bowl. END
