At least, according to Pro Football Weekly. They say that the rumors "have some merit" based on T.J. Houshmanzadeh's college days at Oregon State and a source saying that the Hawks are not willing to be reliant on unproven talent going into 2009--Obamanu, Payne, and Taylor are all mentioned.
I'm still not totally sold on Housh fitting into the Seahawks' repertoire. While he is clearly an excellent receiver, seems like a good guy, and is content with sharing the stage with another reciever, I think the only way we see him brought in is if Ruskell decides that we are re-building that unit from the ground up. With Branch and Burleson both seeming like long-term holds (or at least, somewhat long-term), and the four young guys (Obo, Logan, Taylor and Kent), I have trouble believing that Housh will be in Blue and White next year, especially if we're looking to fill that hole in the draft.
Also, something we've been saying here for a long time, Koren Robinson is a long shot to return next year. The main reason is his knee injury, according to the above source: "Not only does he have a bone-on-bone knee injury, but you just can’t count on him anymore as a legitimate run-after-catch threat." Don't sweat it, Koren, you could still beat me in a footrace! ~END~
