It would appear the Hawks are leaving no stone unturned in their search for a new defensive coordinator.
The most recent name to surface is Cleveland defensive coordinator Mel Tucker. The team has sought and received permission to interview him.
This represents the first interview of a coordinator that doesn't come from a Tampa 2 background. The Browns, most recently under Romeo Crennel, have been running a 3-4 defense. Prior to his time in Cleveland, Tucker had coached only at the college level for Michigan St, Miami of Ohio, LSU, and Ohio St. Here is his bio.
Tucker has also been interviewing for head coaching jobs, including the vacancies for the Browns and Jets. ~END~
