Jagodzinsky Free, Seattle Interested

by: Michael Steffes

Reports this morning are saying that Boston College AD Gene DeFilippo will stick to his guns and fire head coach Jeff Jagodzinsky later today for taking an interview with the Jets. This means he will be free to seek job opportunities in the NFL.

While he is a long shot to be the head coach of the Jets, as first reported here on Monday the Hawks would provide a soft landing spot for Jags. He is a former colleague of Jim Mora and Tim Ruskell, and both think highly of him. He was also Matt Hasselbeck's OC in his senior year at BC.

And according to the report from the Boston Herald,

Sources in Seattle say the Seahawks have interest in Jagodzinski.
UPDATE: BC has officially fired Jeff Jagodzinsky. Expect news of him coming to Seattle for an interview to happen shortly. ~END~
