Well, I guess that debate is settled. USC safety and local kid Taylor Mays has decided to stay with Pete Carroll and Southern Cal for his senior season. He will NOT enter the draft this year.
Many Seahawks fans have been calling for Mays to replace the beleaguered Brian Russell, but that will not happen this year. While the safety class is fairly deep this year, subtracting Mays takes away the one projected top end talent. This likely subtracts another option at #4 for the Seahawks. So be it. Mays will probably benefit from another year in school, hoping to cement his status as a top 10 pick. [Thanks to Tam for the link] ~END~
