Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack resigned with the Hawks, officially this morning. Occasionally (rarely) one of my moments of inspiration holds water. SA predicted this would happen when the draft concluded with no O-linemen being selected.
Womack will return to the Hawks as the ultra-versatile backup. He can play any position other than center on the line. More importantly he boosts the numbers at tackle, with both Walter Jones and Ray Willis possibly not participating in this weekends mini camp.
The team released Jonathan Lewis to make room. Wonder if Lo Jack will be switching numbers now? Good thing I didn't freak out and order his jersey yet.
