Got You Covered

I found this little tidbit to be interesting and I thought you might as well. The Sporting News has begun ranking positional groups amongst teams. This article breaks down the cornerbacks in the NFC.

The Seahawks rank third as far as cornerbacks go in the NFC, at least according to TSN. They have the Eagles and Packers ranked 1 and 2. I can't really take issue with that. What I found interesting was that they rated Marcus Trufant as the top corner in the conference. This is a surprising amount of respect shown to Tru, considering that Samuel would have easily been the sexier pick. 49er Nate Clements, who along with his team can be thanked for the exploding prices of good cover guys, only ranks 5th.

Locking up Trufant was a smart move. In the end, it may turn out to be a good value too. Lets hope he continues to grow under the guidance of JM Jr. Hopefully he ends up in Hawaii for years to come. END
