Walter Jones Still Gets Props

by: Michael Steffes

Just thought I would pass this on. In this article about Matt Birk from the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Birk praises the Seahawks left tackle.

Matt Birk, the Vikings' Pro Bowl center, is breathing heavily, having just pushed his truck across a parking lot, as he says, "If this is good enough for Walter Jones, the best in the game, it's good enough for you."
Walter Jones gained fame during his franchise tag years for staying in shape by pushing around a three ton Escalade. It seems Birk is now using some of these unconventional methods. Birk is one of the better centers in the league, and clearly he is an astute judge of talent as well. ~END~
