Holmgren Talks Week 1

Mike Holmgren did his weekly (during the season) radio show on Kiro 710 this morning. Here is a link to where you can listen to it. I am having some trouble getting it to play, but you might have better luck.

He talked about several things. First, he said that Deion Branch will not be playing, for those of you who might be holding out hope. He said Branch will have to participate in team drills before he sees the field. Branch says it is up to coach, buy Holmy keeps throwing it back, saying it will be up to Branch and when he feels ready.

Also Coach predicts that Sunday will be a tough battle. If you didn't know that, you haven't followed the Seahawks the last few years. In many ways this game is more of a test of the Seahawks vs. themselves. I wouldn't be worried if this game was played on a neutral West Coast field, but if the Hawks are going to be real contenders, they need to become better on the road and at 10 a.m. ~END~
