Bobby Engram's celebrity softball game was yesterday in Olympia, over 1400 fans showed up. Here is the article by Gail Wood of the Olympian. Those who did show up were treated to a slugfest, with a total of 31 runs scored in 5 innings. It would have been more had Leonard Weaver been properly credited with a homerun.
Anyway the important part is that twenty Seahawks showed up for a good cause, and they showed up to support Bobby. As we all know, Bobby is in the midst of a bit of a contract dispute. It is good to see that the players all understand that just because Bobby hasn't been at OTA's doesn't mean he will not be a big part of the team this year. As they say, the offseason is when you get your business down, the season is for playing football. Sounds like this team will be as close as ever come August and September. END
