Hawks release three players

The Seahawks just released three players - center Nick Jones, guard Dustin Dickinson and receiver Chas Gessner.

No huge surprises here, but it's interesting to see the coaching staff already taking steps to weed out the weak - over a month before the start of training camp.

I have a sneaking suspicion that making this squad is going to be no picnic this year. The competition for each position is as stiff as I've ever seen it, and that comes as a huge relief after the loss of some key backups in free agency this year. (Niko, Bentley, etc.)
