A Look at the Seahawks Health

by: Michael Steffes

As the Hawks open mini-camp today, I thought it would be worthy of a post to take a look at the Hawks health. If you remember last year, the Hawks had numerous players coming off surgery and missing camp. These included Big Walt, Chris Spencer, Marcus Tubbs, Shaun Alexander and even Matt Hasselbeck.

This year the training room is going to be full during mini camps again. Not only that but some of the Seahawks top players are most likely skipping mini-camp. Walter will be resting his shoulder which was worked on again. Deion Branch is obviously going to miss camp. Patrick Kerney will probably be held out because of his shoulder surgery. I believe Rocky Bernard had his groin worked on too.

Two other Seahawks had offseason surgery. Floyd Womack had surgery on his bicep and Josh Scobey had surgery on his broken leg. Neither are currently under contract with the team, although it sounds recently as if Womack may be back as early as today. END
